Massage Therapy FAQ
Common questions about massage therapy sessions in Louisville, Colorado. Have a question not listed here? Contact me anytime.
What if I need to reschedule or cancel?
If you need to cancel or reschedule outside of 24 hours, you may do so by clicking the confirmation link in your appointment email or by logging into the portal. You can cancel or reschedule at no charge.
If you need to cancel or reschedule within 24 hours, please contact me directly at 719-688-2678. A late cancellation fee may apply, but I’m lenient with emergencies.
For late arrivals, I’ll do my best to make up the time if my schedule allows. If that’s not possible, the session will be shortened accordingly.
Do you treat minors?
Yes, I treat minors under 18 with written consent from their parent or guardian.
Should I tip?
While you may tip following your massage session, it’s not necessary since I’m an independent massage therapist. Instead of tipping, I recommend scheduling massages more frequently to maintain your wellness.
Do you accept HSA/FSA payments?
Yes, I accept HSA/FSA payments. In most cases, massage therapy qualifies as an eligible medical expense. However, some HSA/FSAs may require a referral with diagnosis codes and a specific treatment plan.
When in doubt, contact your HSA/FSA provider and ask.
Must I undress for massage therapy?
Your comfort is my top priority. Whether you choose to remain fully clothed or undress to your level of comfort, you’ll always be treated with respect and care.
You’ll have complete privacy to prepare for your session, and you’ll be properly covered throughout with a sheet if you choose to undress.
My goal is to create a safe, supportive space for all.
How often should I get massage therapy in Louisville?
I recommend massage therapy (or some type of manual therapy) every 2-4 weeks for those dealing with injuries or who are moderately active, and every 3-8 weeks for those not dealing with an injury or less active.
Since we all use our bodies daily, regular massage therapy is important for long-term health and well-being.
What's included in my massage session time?
I provide full hands-on therapy for the entire duration of your appointment. Unlike other facilities that may include setup and breakdown time within the session, I ensure you receive complete, dedicated care for the time listed. I also allow all my patients to try AcuDetox (auricular acupuncture) FREE during their first visit.
Your well-being and satisfaction are my top priorities, and I strive to deliver the highest quality therapeutic massage with every visit.
Should my massage be painful?
A therapeutic massage may be uncomfortable, but it should not be painful. I’ll check in with you during the massage, but if at any time the pressure gets above a 7 (using the pain scale shown below) and you notice yourself holding your breath or tensing your muscles, please let me know so I can adjust.
Where is your massage therapy practice located in Louisville?
I’m located at 333 W. South Boulder Road, Suite 4, in Louisville, CO 80027. The office is inside Summit Family Chiropractic.
Is there parking available?
